The pristine trails and ravishing wonders of Nepal leave you in awe of your wanderlust for more. Looking at the magnificent Himalayan ranges can be more breathtaking than any other experience in the world! The Nepal Upper Mustang Motorbike Tour is one of the surreal mountain biking experiences and leads to the ancient city of Lo Manthang. The challenge of riding for the biker is nothing compared to the incredible scenery, cultural lifestyle of the locals, and new experiences that you will be receiving during the rides.

Our Upper Mustang Motorbike Tour journey is led by a drive from Kathmandu to Nagarkot, which is the hill station near Kathmandu and allows you to see the panoramic view of the mountains in Everest, Manaslu, and even some in the Annapurna range. We then move to Gorkha and visit Manakamana Temple and the palace of the first king of Nepal, Prithvi Narayan Shah. We then move to Pokhara via Bandipur. The City of Lakes is the entrance to Annapurna and also a popular quick getaway for refreshment. We move on to Tatopani, where you can relax at the hot springs to relieve the strained muscles from the ride. We then move on to Jomsom along the Kaligandaki valley on a flat and rocky jeep track towards Kagbeni. From Kagbeni, we continue uphill toward Muktinath and towards the forbidden land of the Upper Mustang. We head further north, passing through Chele, Syanbochen, Tsarang, and Lo-Manthang. Lo-Manthang is a walled city that is home to numerous antique monasteries and well-preserved Tibetan cultures and traditions. From Lo-Manthang, we return through some new single-track routes, with excellent sights of nearby high peaks and magnificent valleys. We then head to Marpha, a famous overnight stop, and resume the descent to Tatopani. The Upper Mustang Motorbike Tour meets its end as we depart from Pokhara to Kathmandu.

With our experienced riders and guides, you will receive the best experience of your lifetime. The best season for the Upper Mustang Motorbike Tour rides is in spring and autumn. The tiresome rides are minimal compared to the amazing thrills and scenes you will be experiencing. So join us at Himalayan Recreation and book your seats now!

Welcome to Nepal! A Himalayan Recreation representative will receive you and take you to the hotel so that you can rest after Jetlag. Enjoy your evening with traditional Nepali cuisine. Overnight stay at a hotel in Kathmandu.

This day is sanctioned as a practice day as you drive around the city and get used to the bike you will be riding for the rest of the journey. You can explore the city in the initial part of the day which is followed by a test ride to Nagarkot. The hill-top town is also a popular viewpoint to relish the sights of the Himalayas even Everest (8848m) given the sky is clear. Later, you head back to Kathmandu. Overnight stay at a hotel in Kathmandu.

Today, we shall ride to Pokhara via Bandipur which is a scenic town in the Himalayan foothill of the country itself. The land is famous for its pure natural beauty and the hospitality of the local people. Here, you can visit Khadga Devi Temple and Siddha Cave; two of the famous destinations in the town premise. After, we shall head to Pokhara and wander around the lakeside and enjoy the beautiful view of the mountain range, lakes, and ambiance. Overnight stay at a hotel in Pokhara.

Today, we move on to Tatopani through Gurung villages with beautiful rhododendron trees and streams running down as we ascend through the narrow road. We come to BheriKharka and then head to Tatopani. Tatopani has the literal meaning of hot water as the hot spring originated from the rocks beside the Kali Gandaki River. We can rest and enjoy the hot spring to relax and relieve sore muscles if any. Overnight stay at Tatopani.

We will be riding from the landslide area so the ride can be tiring till Ghasa. The roads are quite steep and with obstacles. Just before reaching Kobang, we can have a closer look at the Annapurna. You will be crossing a wide suspension bridge with large mountains in the background. After a few hours, you will reach Jomsom as we move along the Kali Gandaki River. Overnight stay at Jomsom.

We start the journey early so that we can take in the beautiful views of the sunrise over the Himalayas in the Annapurna Massif. After the wonderful experience, we ride up to Muktinath on a jeep track. We continue ascending uphill till we reach Muktinath. Muktinath is a sacred place for both Hindus and Buddhists and the name literally means place of liberation. It is believed that once you take a bath in 108 taps, you will be free from all sins. Overnight stay at Muktinath.

Today includes another 6 hours of ascending ride across a wide canyon, and then we will walk down to the inhabited village of Ghami. Next, we get in a tractor and cross a bridge over the Tangmar Chuu River; beyond which is a long line of Mani walls to a pass and then descent will lead us to our resting point, Tsarang. Overnight stay at Tsarang.

From Tsarang, we ascend over an edge where the ride leads us to the dry land that we so often see in the photos of Mustang.  We cross over Lo La Pass at 3950 meters and observe the view of prayer flags moving along the wind, gesturing for the approach of the walled city of Lo Manthang. Overnight stay at Lo Manthang.

Today, we stay in Lo Manthang discovering the majesties of the city. Because the Mustang region was closed to Western visitors until the 1990s, the city still boasts raw beauty and plentiful remnants of the ancient Tibetan-Buddhist culture. Explore the monasteries in Thinggar and Namgyal; if time permits. Even a stroll around the city itself can prove to be invaluable if one desires to learn about Lo Manthang. Overnight stay at Lo Manthang.

The day entails riding to one of the least opted trails of Nepal and heading north from Lo Manthang. The trail takes us to the Nepal-China border. The ride reveals a parade of Tibetan Mountains and Plateaus to the north and the arid landscape will keep a close company throughout the ride. Crossing Tingli Bodho Bhanjyang (4592m), we reach the Nepal-china border and then return all the way to Lo Manthang.

We shall take the same trail to Kagbeni after spending some amazing moments in Upper Mustang. You can opt to take a slow ride to not miss even a speck of the scenic beauty as we move forward to Tatopani. After hours of tiring ride along the Kali Gandaki River with a short break taken at Ekle Bhatti village, the trail leads us to Kagbeni. You can wander around the area and observe the lifestyle of the people residing here. Overnight stay at Kagbeni.

We start our ride on the flat track crossing small villages until Timang via the Pine forest which takes about 2 hours. We can relish the sights of Mt. Manaslu (8163m) and other mountains in the Annapurna and Manaslu ranges. Then, we descend to Danaalong uneven trails and, later, drive on the smooth and flat trail until arriving at Tatopani. Overnight stay at Tatopani.

A long ride back to Pokhara via Besisahar! Enjoy the lovely landscape of the villages and the rivers as we move back to the amazing destination after such an enthralling journey. Once in Pokhara, you can spend the rest of the day as you desire. Visit the spas and massage centers, take a boat ride on Phewa Lake, cycle around the valley, or enjoy live music at the Lakeside. We can drive to Sarangkot to see amazing sunrise in the early morning along with the amazing snowy peaks of Dhaulagiri (8167m), Manaslu (8163m), Machhapuchhre (6997m), and several peaks in the Annapurna range. Hike to Peace Pagoda, and explorations to Davis Falls, Mahendra Cave, and Bindyabasini Temple await on the exploration tour in the city. In the evening, sightseeing near lakeside areas. Overnight stay at a hotel in Pokhara.

We return back to Kathmandu which might take you about 6 to 7 hours. Feel free to take your time to visit Kathmandu. The recommended places are Basantapur, Thamel, and Durbarmarg. Overnight stay at a hotel in Kathmandu.

Farewell day! We shall take a group photo before you leave for your flight. We hope to see you again!
