Most Amzing Trip That I Ever Had

The trip to Evereast Base Camp is hard but everyone should try. The view is unforgettable and the people in Nepal are all very nice. To travel with Himalayan Recreation is one of the best decisions I made in this trip. They arranged all the Tea Houses and meals for us and our lovely guide Suresh prepared fruit dishes for us every night during the trip. The fruits are very good supports in the mountain. Our guide not only gave us the right directions but also shared a lot of info of the peaks and Nepal cultures all the way along.

In this trip we finished the EBC camp and also hiked back to Lukla. Without their help, I don’t know if I can finish it. Himalayan Recreation is a reliable traveling arrangement company to choose if you are interested in the Everest Base Camp Trekking.

Absolutely Amazing Experience with Himalayan Rec!!

I was part of a group of three that trekked to Everest Base Camp in November 2019 with Himalayan Rec. We came across this company through some research on TourRadar, a popular platform for a lot of trekking tours.

Himalayan Rec had great reviews and offered exactly what we were looking for. We reached out to several different trekking companies prior to booking but felt that Himalayan Rec had the quickest response time, thoroughly answered all of our questions/concerns and provided flexibility, all while offering one of the best prices. One thing to note is that most of the EBC trekking companies provide more or less the same services, over the same route, with the same facilities but tend to charge largely different prices. The price we paid Himalayan Rec was very transparent and we felt that we got a fantastic bang for our buck.

I was initially in contact with the company’s manager, Ashok. Even though we did not start the trek until a few days after our arrival in Nepal, Ashok and his team went above and beyond to accommodate us as soon as we landed in Kathmandu. They provided us with airport pick-up service, helped us navigate around the city and provided a wealth of information to make us feel more than welcome.

We trekked with the company’s guide Santosh, who quickly became a close member of our trekking group. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, experienced, well-known around the tea houses (I cannot stress the importance of this) and quickly tended to anything we needed (extra blankets, water, equipment, etc.). We even had an emergency change of plans mid-trek which required us to return to Kathmandu a day early but Santosh was easily able to accommodate the changes all while getting us up to EBC. He booked us a helicopter out of EBC, an earlier flight out of Lukla, set us up with a last minute hotel in Kathmandu, and provided complementary car service back to the airport.

All in all, I am more than pleased with the experience I had with Himalayan Rec. They went above and beyond to ensure that everyone in our group had an unbelievable experience. I would 100% recommend their services on your trekking adventure. Whatever you are looking for, they’ll be sure to deliver.

Everest Base Camp Trek - October, 2019

I just wanted to thank you all at Himalayan Recreation Trekking for a fantastic experience. My son and I have just returned home recently from a group trek to Everest Base Camp, from September 30 to October 13, 2019, with your wonderful guide Raj. Your company looked after all of our needs brilliantly, including accommodation at Hotel Nepalaya, a great trek to base camp, a fascinating tour of Kathmandu and a very enjoyable cultural dinner and show to finish off our time in Nepal.

Our guide Raj did an excellent job of helping us along every step of the way. He was so helpful in making sure that we got our flights to Lukla, including the bus trip to Ramechhap. He looked after us at all times, ensuring that we were safe and well and able to fully enjoy the experience. Raj is a great asset to your company. He was great. The porters also did a great job in helping us with all of our gear. We appreciate everything that they did for us.

We will definitely recommend Himalayan Recreation Trekking to our friends and maybe one day visit your wonderful country of Nepal again with your help!

To Everest Base Camp

Booked the EBC and Gokyo lakes with Himalayan Recreation. Overall a great experience and everything went seamlessly! Full information was provided via website link when booked and all email questions prior to arriving in Nepal answered promptly. I made it to EBC but due to Altitude symptoms I couldn't continue over the Pass to get to the lakes and had to make my way down instead. Our guide ‘Narayan’ was accomodating and our tailored our return so we got to do different trails. Our porter ‘Arjun’ worked hard and our main pack was always there before we were. Really happy with them both. Off the Mountains ‘Ashok’ had everything under control and was available at all times to answer our questions. As well as double checking with other parties that all was going as expected. You wont go wrong booking with Himalayan Recreation!

Great company

We did 11-day trek to EBC with Narayan as a guide and Rahul as a porter. It was a great trip, guys knew their job. We never had any problems with accommodation or food on the trek (day before our start all flights to Lukla were cancelled creating overcrowding on the trail). We strongly recommend Narayan as a guide.
Should say that we have some vulnerability before trek. Company didn't provide any information about the trek in advance (no welcome, no itinerary, tips etc. - all the info that can be helpful) so we need to spend a lot of time in the Internet. This was not a first time we travel in different countries and usually companies were providing good detailed package about all aspects of the trip. Time to time we asked questions online and were receiving answers - but very short, not detailed. This matter was discussed with company manager Ashok when we arrived in Kathmandu and he assured us the company will develop a guide.
In general we strongly reccommend the company for the EBC trek

Exceptional! Cannot recommend Himalayan Recreation Treks and Expeditions enough!

My dad, his two friends Ray, Linda and I completed Everest Base Camp trek in December 2019. Varat was our guide and he went above and beyond to make sure we had the trip of a life time and that we did! Nir Kumar and Chantra were our porters who were also incredible and cannot believe how strong they both were! A big blizzard hit the region the day we went to base camp and covered all everything in snow the way to Lukla, This then turned into extremely slippery ice and these boys basically ran down the hills with massive packs, have no idea how they do it??

From when he first greeted us at the Kathmandu airport we knew we were in great hands. He welcomed us and made us feel extremely comfortable with his contagious smile (He looked just as excited as us). Our plane was late arriving and he acted like it was nothing having to wait out in the cold Nepal winter for us.

The hotel was lovely and beyond my expectations, this seemed to be a common occurrence for the whole trip.

Varat was extremely knowledgeable and happy to answer all our questions, trust me I had millions! He was also very honest and would let us know when he was unsure and would always try his hardest to find the answer. We all really appreciated his honesty, modesty and cheerful spirit.

We past many other groups on our trip and no one seemed as happy with their guide, porters and trekking agency as we were.

Varat also made many upgrades for us in regards to rooms, our accommodation was always top notch and had beautiful views and attached bathrooms whenever possible.

Even though the trip would have been incredible as this really is the trip of a life time and been on my bucket list for many years, Varat made it more special than you could ever imagine! He made us feel like family and hope we are able to book another Nepal trip with him in the future.

The trip itself was breathtaking both literally and figuratively (Altitude really does get you haha). The people the culture and the scenery with unreal and I wish our trip was longer than 16 days.

We were very anxious about our journey and didn’t know what it would entail but they put our mind at ease. Exciting expreiecne witha humble and Professional Guide

The company itinerary for 14 days trip is quite exciting and accurate, started when I arrived at the Kathmandu airport. First day I went shopping, second day, the company sent me a day guide to show me around. We saw several temples, the guide was very knowledgeable. Third day we flew to Lukla and started the trip.

I did Everest trekking experience with Narayan, He helped me to choose right gears and was with me as a friend and professional guild through my trip. He always made sure I eat the right food and stopped at the best places. Thanks Narayan for your patience.
Over all I enjoyed the trip very much. It was wonderful and strongly recommend it to all people who like hiking.

Fantastic experience with incredible people

Had the best time on this adventure. We did the 10 day Base Camp trip. The whole experience was awesome from the moment we were picked up at the airport until they dropped us off again. The staff were fantastic and looked after our every need. Our guide Varat was AWESOME, such a great guy and really went out of his way to make sure we were happy. At the end of the trip, the company took us out to dinner wth a show, this was a really nice way to end the trip. I really recommend this company if you are planning on going to Nepal, could not fault anything. I loved every minute of it and hope to return for another trip and will definitely go with this company again. Thanks for everything, I will never forget it.
