Trip of a lifetime with Himalayan Recreation!

I signed up with Himalayan Recreation for the Everest Marathon and Everest Base Camp package. It was the most amazing experience of my life! From the moment I contacted the owner Bishnu, I knew I chose the right company to guide me on this adventure. Excellent communication in the months leading up to this trip. All questions were answered and the price was great.

Everything described was delivered and then some! I was met at the Kathmandu airport and taken to a great hotel in Thamel prior to the trek. Airfare to Lukla was included along with transfers. My guide / porter Subash met me and gave me the best possible service, friendly guidance with excellent English, and made the entire trek memorable! Every accommodation and meal were completely taken care of. Every detail of the marathon was included. Post race, the trek and trip back were just as awesome! Bishnu even met me and took me to a nice dinner on my last night in Kathmandu if you have any thoughts about an EBC trek or anything else in the area and want the best service-do yourself a favor and use Himalayan Recreation!

Amazing EBC / Marathon Tour!

I just returned from the Everest Base Camp Trek combined with the Everest Marathon tour. The race was May 29th, 2026.

I booked the trip through Himalayan Recreation and had the best experience of my life!

The owner / operator Bishnu was such a pleasure and professional to deal with from the early planning stages up through the return trip to the airport. EVERY detail and then some was taken care of and the entire 14 day experience was carefully planned and executed. My guide /porter Subash was amazing and made the whole incredible journey a memorable one!

I just returned from the Everest Base Camp Trek in Nepal, and I can honestly say it was one of the best experiences of my life! As someone traveling from the USA, I had dreamed of seeing Mount Everest up close for years, and Himalayan Recreation made that dream come true in the most incredible way.

From the moment I arrived in Kathmandu, the team took care of everything — airport pickup, permits, accommodation, and all the trek logistics. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and truly passionate about the Himalayas. He made sure everyone in the group was safe, motivated, and enjoying every step of the journey.

The Everest Base Camp Trek itself was absolutely breathtaking — stunning mountain views, beautiful Sherpa villages, and the sense of accomplishment when finally reaching EBC (5,364m) was beyond words. Every day felt like an adventure, and the support from the Himalayan Recreation team made it stress-free and memorable.

What I really appreciated was how professional and well-organized the company was. The communication before and during the trek was excellent, the lodges were clean and comfortable, and the food was great — even at high altitude! I just returned from the Annapurna Circuit Trek with Tilicho Lake, and I can’t recommend Himalayan Recreation highly enough! As someone who’s done several hikes in the Rockies and Alps, this was my first big Himalayan trek—and it completely exceeded expectations.

From start to finish, the team demonstrated exceptional professionalism, safety awareness, and deep local knowledge. Our guide, Pasang, was not only incredibly kind and encouraging but also highly experienced, having done the circuit more than a dozen times. He knew every mountain peak by name, adjusted the pace perfectly, and made sure we were always safe and well acclimatized.

Tilicho Lake was the absolute highlight—crystal blue waters at one of the highest lakes in the world! I genuinely don’t think I would’ve made it there (or safely over Thorong La Pass) without the expert planning and support of this company. The itinerary was well-paced, allowing for proper acclimatization and rest days, and the lodges were among the best on the route—clean, welcoming, and often with incredible views.

I appreciated the transparency in costs, the seamless organization from airport pickup to drop-off, and the personal touch throughout. They were always quick to respond to questions (even before the trek started) and helped me feel prepared every step of the way.

A Life-Changing Trek to Annapurna Base Camp in 7 Days

I just returned from the 7 days Trekking to Annapurna Base Camp with Himalayan Recreation journey, and I’m still overwhelmed by the beauty of the Himalayas and the care I received from the team.

As a solo traveler from Germany, I was a bit nervous at first. But from the moment I arrived in Pokhara, everything was perfectly organized. My guide, Ramesh, was knowledgeable, kind, and incredibly supportive throughout the trek. Every day brought breathtaking views from the charming village of Ghandruk to the awe-inspiring Annapurna Base Camp surrounded by snow-capped giants. We even got lucky with crystal-clear skies!

The teahouses were comfortable and the food was better than I expected. I especially appreciated the flexibility of the itinerary and how well the team responded to my pace. The hot springs at Jhinu Danda on the way back were the perfect ending to a challenging yet deeply rewarding trek.

I recently returned home to Australia after completing the Langtang Valley Trek with Himalayan Recreation, and I genuinely can't recommend this experience enough! If you're searching for the perfect Langtang trek package for 2025, look no further, this is it.

After comparing several options online, I chose Himalayan Recreation because of their clear communication, great reviews, and affordable pricing. The Langtang Valley trek cost was incredibly reasonable, especially for what was included: private transport to and from Syabrubesi, all meals and accommodation during the trek, permits, a licensed guide, and porter services. No hidden charges, no stress, just a smooth, well-organized trek.
