Highly recommend Himalayan Recreation for trekking in Nepal! They are professional, reliable and supportive

My trek to Everest Base Camp was incredible! Himalayan Recreation enabled my experience to be one of a life time. I was part of a group of 8 people, all from NZ and we didn't know each other until we arrived in Kathmandu!

We had a WhatsApp group created for our trip and the company Manager, Bishnu Thapa, answered any pre-trip questions that we had. Being a female and travelling to Nepal on my own, I felt so well supported by them, their was no issues picking and dropping me off at the airport, and arranging extra accommodation.

Anything we asked of them they would facilitate. The day the tour started until it ended, the company did everything to make this trip awesome! I had complete trust in the groups guide, Reju and Ram, who had fantastic knowledge of the area and we always felt that they treated us as "number one!" the porters were also fantastic. They are special people.

The company is extremely well organized, professional, great communication and has high expectations of their employees. I cant recommend this company enough!

Best of the Best Service to Everest Three Passes trek

The best trip with the best! I made the best decision when I chose Himalayan Recreation to organize my trip. Professional organization, professional team.

I received all the help before and during my trip. I did three passes alone. While other companies tried to dissuade me because of the difficulty, here I received all the encouragement and help.

They were probably even happier about my success than I was ❤️My mountain guide, Buddha Tamang, is also professional, very kind and helpful.

The whole trekking was adjusted to me, to my pace, to my organization. I managed to make up for the days I lost in Ramechap without having to give up anything from my plans.

The accommodations, tea houses were absolutely adequate. The food was really delicious. I spent happy, wonderful weeks. I found new friends.

Bravo Himayalan Recreation Team - Incredible journey with brilliant support throughout!

My friend and I have successfully completed the guided Everest Base Camp Trek with the help of Managing Director Bhishnu Thapa, of Himalayan Recreation Treks & Travel, in the second week of October 2024.

I can personally vouch for their thorough support throughout from the moment we started communications to clarify details of the tour to ensure we booked it with confidence to when we arrived and departed - they have an excellent and experienced network of guides, porters, links with tea houses and emergency support capabilities.

I felt totally looked after and cared for throughout. Their website is full of useful information in terms of kit and sets expectations for accommodation and sanitation levels. We were lucky to have access to indoor western style toilets at all tea houses albeit having to do a manual flush.

Our guide Buddha was on hand every step of the way pointing out where to step, keeping to safe paths, keeping Yaks and horses at a safe distance, carry water and other items, reaching into our rucksack on request for anything at anytime and most of all staying cheerful, patient and amicable all the time! He personally took food requests and served us at most Tea houses! Our porter Pembe did an excellent job of carrying our duffel bags and making sure they were on hand at every location. Incredible support was provided during flight delays due to non conducive weather by both Bharat and Buddha.

Absolutely loved the cultural night treat a day before our departure joined by Bhishnu and Gopal Thapa ! Bravo indeed Himalayan Recreation team - many thanks, keep it up and God bless!

Unforgettable Pikey Peak Trek with Himalayan Recreation!

The Pikey Peak Trekking was a hidden gem in Nepal! Far less crowded than Everest Base Camp, but equally rewarding. The sunrise view over Kanchenjunga and Mount Everest from Pikey Peak was surreal worth every step.

Our guide Mr Basu from Himalayan Recreation was incredibly knowledgeable and took care of everything.The trek was perfectly organized, with cozy teahouses and authentic Sherpa hospitality. Highly recommend this off-the-beaten-path adventure!

Ticked off my bucket list, thanks to Rajan my guide cum porter. I was very well taken care of and didn’t have to worry about anything. Great experience! And of course, the climb was amazing. This still feels unreal. I’m so happy ♥️

An Experience for a Lifetime and That too with the Right Tour Operator!!

I am so glad I did my research before booking with the Himalayan Recreation Tour Operator. Though I had done my research, going through this trek was a lot harder, especially because I was short of breath throughout. Narayan was our guide, and he ensured that even as the slowest member of the team, I was never left behind. This showed that he was a very well-trained guide. Because of his expertise and his optimism, I can proudly say I got to the base camp.

The routes were breathtaking, and most often the pictures just did not do justice to what we witnessed. Narayan recognized all the mountains! It felt good to be in the company of someone who knew their route. I would recommend a Himalayan Recreation tour operator any day!

A family trip for a lifetime memory!

This was a trip of the lifetime! We lucked out in completing this Everest Base Camp (EBC) trip in the first week of June, 2023, usually when the monsoon breaks. Most of the days it was perfect hiking weather. Himalayan Recreation tailored this trip to suit the requirements of our family. We had some time constraints, therefore once after reaching the EBC, we took a helicopter ride down to Kathmandu from Gorekshep (~5200 meters) It was an adventure trip for our family of 4 and it was a private tour. I am very pleased with the service provided by Bishnu Thapa of the Himalyan Recreation and the guide, Raj who has over a decade of experience in Organizing such trips. Raj took good care of us by ensuring that we eat, sleep and keep up with the high altitude challenges. In addition, Raj kept us motivated to keep on going on this 7 days of 60-70 KM hiking trail.

Our family decided to go on this EBC hike in Dec 2022 and then we kept in touch with Bishnu Thapa who professionally guided us to prepare for this trip by sending his prompt replies and occasional video calls. The staff at the Himalyan Recreation, I found them extremely courteous. I was impressed by the fact that once we arrived in Kathmandu, they made us feel comfortable and I found them so very eager to make our trip a success. And we made it! As the altitude increased, thin air and steep hikes, sometimes landslides, bad weather for helicopter landing presented some excitements but I can assure that Himalyan Recreations team handled the situations very professionally to keep us safe.

I would highly recommend Himalyan Recreations for any of your bucket listed Himalyan (high altitude) Hikes in Nepal or other places. I wish Himalyan Recreations the best!
